My Story

A few months ago I embarked on a new adventure.  I have always loved to update my home but when my children were younger (2 boys) now adults with children of their own, I couldn’t justify nor afford an interior decorator.  I always enjoyed DIY projects and repurposing old things and giving them new life, painting a room to give it a different and more updated look.  I even bought real raw wood flooring from a lumber company that was going out of business. (What was I thinking?)   I enlisted the help one of my friends and she and I embarked on my quest for a wood floor in my living room.  Did I mention that the wood was a blank slate?  After we laid the floor, we sanded, stained and sealed the floor.  The work had a few flaws, but even if I do say so myself, it wasn’t too darned bad.   Talk about the ultimate in a DIY project.  But you know, I would have put it up against some who call themselves professionals.
