Animal Prints
They have never and probably will never go out of fashion simply because it reminds us of a time when, our ancestors, as hunters and gatherers, would embrace and adorn themselves in the warmth and sensation of genuine exotic skins.
Animal prints have long been regarded as a status symbol, and in conventional societies, as one of ascending in social status, more and more expensive exotic pelts and furs were added to their coutre collection.
Animal prints can be a great addition to any décor. Be mindful of using too much, because it can be overpowering.
Upholstery Tacks
Also known as steel studs, furniture nails or upholstery . They all perform the same function. Their original function was to hold fabric onto furniture. Today, fabric is usually attached with staples or glue. Now the tacks are used mainly for decorating. They come in a wide variety of sizes and finishes and designs and are often used on more expensive upholstered pieces to give them the classic finished look.
They can be used on a hassock, coffee table, or even on picture frames, which makes them a versatile and inexpensive way to update an older piece in your home.
Monograms
In today’s world we are all looking to express our own individuality. What better way to do it than with monograms. Monograms consist of 2 or 3 letters in a person’s name. They can be used on trays, napkins, or pillows, or you can even customize furniture. And they don’t all have to be embroidered. There are great sites you can create your own by designing you own stencil.
