Improve On What Works

So you have now gotten over your fear of internet marketing and feel that you are mastering this brave new world.  But how do you become successful?

Find your market.  Think about it this way.  Would you try to sell beef to vegetarians?  That would not give you a profitable business.  You would definitely fail.  You must take your success mindset into an environment that has a high chance of succeeding.

How do you find those kinds of environments?  By seeing what is currently working and finding a way to improve on what works.

Some trends in internet marketing such as “online marketing to offline brick and mortar businesses” are hot because people are profiting from it.  This would be an environment that would have a high chance to profit.  You may have noticed that there are certain niches where you can sell all kinds of information products to such as the internet marketing niche.  This is also an environment that would have a high chance to profit.

For instance, take Jason Fladlien.  Jason is a successful internet marketer.  He wasn’t the first to create a product on article marketing.   But he sells his own product on it consistently.  He wasn’t the first to create a product on copywriting, or local marketing sites, or webinars, or list building.  Yet he sells products on these topics regularly.

The idea is not to go out and reinvent the wheel.  Don’t go out and invent a whole new environment for profit.  Instead, go to an environment that is already profitable and find ways to improve on the value being delivered to the marketplace in that particular environment.

How do you do that?  You do it by listening to what that market place is asking for, and then use your positive mindset to come up with the solutions that the market is demanding or that are below market demands or that are not met at all.

See how Jason has been successful at finding the demands in some niche markets and capitalizing on those niches.

Good luck!

  1. Thank you, Leslie. That need to re-do the wheel is deeply ingrained, isn’t it.

    • Thanks Arwen. I agree with you. We all think we can do it better. LOL Appreciate your stopping by!

  2. Good advice, very clearly explained. Not reinventing the wheel is so important because many people waste a lot of time and money doing just that. Thanks for the reminder.
